Abstract

Authors should submit the abstracts according to the following requirements:

• Abstracts should be written in English;
• Text should be 12-point, in Times New Roman Font, left-justified and single-spaced with one inch margin on all sides;
• Author(s) name(s) and all author affiliations should be included;
• Abstracts should be text only. Graphics, pictures or graphs should not be included;
• Abstracts should include
  • Title of Paper
  • Author(s) (For the blind peer review process, names should only be mentioned on the abstract cover page)
  • Institutional Affiliation/ Address/ Email
  • 3-5 keywords
  • Abstract text (maximum 300 words). Suggested subsections: context, central theme or hypothesis; methodology and expected outcomes/major findings

Please submit the abstract in PDF format (File name: Author’s Surname_Given Name_Abstract.pdf, e.g. Chan_Tai_Man_abstract.pdf) to ifou2017@cuhk.edu.hk.

Full Paper

Authors should submit the full paper according to the following requirements by 18 September 2017 and that you will be able to present your paper in a 20 minutes time slot at the Conference in December.

Paper Format

• The paper must not exceed 5,000 words (excluding figures, tables, appendices and references);
• The title should be bold and centered;
• Main paragraph should be 12-point, in Calibri Font, left-justified and single-spaced;
• Paragraph headings should be bold and left-justified.

All the references should be cited according to the following formats:

Paper Publication

The members of scientific committee will select 1-2 papers from each sub-theme for a Best Paper Award. It is planned to publish these best papers in a special issue of the Journal of Public Space and the ICE Journal Urban Design Planning in 2018.
